Still can’t over how beautiful tmthat tank is. Did you polish and buff the acrylic yourself?

Thanks! No sir, I didn't buff it at all. There are a few deep scratches and I don't want to care too much or I get pissed when I scratch stuff. Better to get it out of the way.. rays are pretty hard on tanks.
It’s been a while since I updated this thread. Had a lot going on but wanted to post some updates on the stand.
I decided to go with wood given the expense associated with an iron stand. Found a local stand builder since I’m far from being handy, lack power tools that would suffice, and I’ve been taxed for time. I used the blueprint shared earlier here in this site from
Eatsomekiwis
and asked the builder to put in a bottom shelf for the sump.
The project was delayed by the builder but given my timing with the build and other pressing matters, I’m in no rush so it’s all good. Wanted to post some progress pics for the thread.
Local builder is Val who has a FB page. Response time is slow but quality of his work seems good so far. Will report back as I receive the stand. He normally builds furniture grade but I asked for a simple open stand.

Stand came in. Just have to prime and paint this puppy this weekend. Plumb the back and get people together to help me get the tank on the stand. Once there, I’ll plumb in the filters and get this bad boy running!!
Should have all back plumbing done tomorrow and will have the stand ready to go next weekend.
Thinking of drilling a series of 1.75” holes along the rear ceiling so I can hang pothos roots into the water column. My lights will be hanging so the pothos can grow as long as the roots can hit the water. Wondering if this will cause any structural issues with the top pane of acrylic.
I have my wood all done drying and sitting, waiting to scape this tank. Here are some pics. More to come.

Thank you sir. Been lagging on my build with all the kid activities and stuff. Hopefully will be able to make real progress in the coming weeks
Rear plumbing is done. I’m a little unsure of the bonds with the manifolds to the threaded nuts. Couldn’t do my twist and having to glue three of them made them a little drier than I’d like when I was attaching them into place. Also, the schedule 80 threaded slip nuts tk the schedule 40 bulkheads were lose. I used a ton of plumbers tape I hope that holds.
Was wondering if after its setup and I have a leak, if I could use epoxy putty to seal any leaks permanently. Any tips?
