Looking really good, love the shot, do you have a picture of the group and a picture of the nigerian lap and pbb side by side?
Nope still no congicus. I have my holy grail so anything else is just extra. I’ll admit

Koliba makes me miss my old one. That green body is insane so don’t be surprised if you see one of those before congicus. That said, I’m gonna slow way down with new additions for a while. My schedule is crazy and this tank is in dire need of a filtration upgrade. I’ve got an FX6 running the tank and 2x 50-75% water changes a week. I need to tear it down to drill for a sump so that’s a nightmare looming overhead in the meantime haha.
I’ve had that thing forever. He’s prob 4”. He used to be an incredible algae eater but now he just gets fat off of Massivore and tilapia and ignores his janitorial duties.
It’s kind of like dating insanely attractive women: they’re amazing but definitely come with their fair share of headaches. PBB are no different haha.
I’ll definitely try to get some for you tonight. The variation among the laps is insane. 2 have the classic green lap stripes and one has the dookie brown thing going on. Crazy because you have to imagine they came from the same catch location from the same place.

PBB darkening up a little bit. I’ve been power feeding last few days to bulk him up. I figure with a fish this size, it’ll probably be a month or two before he thickens up for good.

Yeah that’s gonna be a nightmare. Fish need to be stored for a couple hours (probably in a Rubbermaid trough), tank needs to be emptied, drilled, and plumbed, and while the tank is down, I want to paint the wall behind the tank. FML
