Catniss is doing well!20180906_103910.jpg

A healthy and beautiful fish. I hope i can give her the same excellent care shes used to. She may trip off a chain reaction of restocking in my tanks. I want to keep her in my 150 but not sure if the current residents will tolerate her:

Moreover, theyve been squabbling a lot lately and rorschachs tail is getting torn up so it might be a good idea to isolate them both.

It's funny she trys to taste you with her long whiskers thru the glass when you get close to the tank. When ever you do water changes, she "hides" under the biggest fish in the tank, and where ever that fish goes, she stays right under it.
"Save me from the evil gravel vac!"

Yeah ive noticed when i first approach the tank she runs, but then proceeds to follow me around. We're getting acquainted lol.

Im thinking of throwing my JD julio and catniss into the 150 at the same time, hopefully establish some kind of balancing act between them all. I think shes tough enough to take some bullying but I'll have other tanks ready to transfer them out.

A JD can take hammering from Amphs? I always thought they were gentler SAs, like oscars.

No he cant take the hammering but im hoping i can work some hiding spots into the scape and maybe take some attention off the pim when i introduce them.

Theyre definitely more wily than an oscar. They at least know when to run and hide and will fight back. Oscars generally just cower until theyre obliterated or jump out of the tank when theyre bullied.

Looking at your pictures of Toni I see that she didn't get any fin rips or anything, well this side of her.
It does look like she got a little rip in her gill plate area I circled it here in this pic

Yes. I raised the salt a little bit she has another small abrasion on the other side of her head just behind her eye. That was a really rough trip. I'm so glad she made it but I would never chance it again. Too close of a call for me

Right...
Well I thank you for taking her in, I know she will have a great long life in your more than capable hands.
I wish I could be there her first pond trip. Gonna be hilarious seeing her chasing all the things.

She can eat all the bugs and tadpoles she wants as long as she leaves the fins on those butterfly koi alone. The cat fish wont mess with her but they won't take any crap from her either. If she really pushes them they'll knock the fire out of her.
