No, I understand this started before Smollett's case, but is likely becoming public knowledge because of it.
Foxx was "bought" into office by the same folks that brought us Chicago's mayor, but clearly there's trouble in paradise now.

The fun part starts when they begin eating each other . . . to see Emmanuel and Foxx go after each other.

Heard that too!.....and if that happens all the sealed documents would have to be unsealed in order for them to be presented in such a suit,somehow I don't think Smellit and company wants that.

He is evidently familiar with the Obamas because of their Hollywood Connections.

He never admitted guilt for anything. He's smugly putting this all on those evil racist police in Chicago. He's going to make himself a victim on television because in his mind that's the road to success. He's setting himself up to be a three-time loser, and therefore a martyr to the cause.

I heard that no motion was made to dismiss and that the state attorney wiped the files off of the server so there's no record of his arrest and indictment.

I am hoping their IT guys made an extra backup copy that they're not telling people about just to cover their asses in case they get in trouble over something they didn't do.

As an IT guy I used to make extra backups and keep them in my own safe. This was unknown to the company and certainly would have been frowned upon, but of course I was thinking about my own convenience. Company policy be damned.

I can see it now.....he will be brought onto the show Empire and they will come up with an eerily similar story angle involving his character for a big ratings play.
