I heard that no motion was made to dismiss and that the state attorney wiped the files off of the server so there's no record of his arrest and indictment.

I am hoping their IT guys made an extra backup copy that they're not telling people about just to cover their asses in case they get in trouble over something they didn't do.

As an IT guy I used to make extra backups and keep them in my own safe. This was unknown to the company and certainly would have been frowned upon, but of course I was thinking about my own convenience. Company policy be damned.

Maybe im missing part of the story but the foxx lady is the one who screwed. Grand jury found there to he enough evidence to move forward. Technically he was vindicated, what they basically said was the 10k bond and 2 days community service was an acceptable punishment.... plus they have emails between foxx and a family member.... she better end up in jail, and smollet be retried if possible

I'm now 99% sure that records were actually deleted.
But I'm 100% sure it's nearly impossible to remove everything, everywhere.
