Fish tattoos

The koi was first just simple black and grey. Then I changed to an orange koi, then about 2 weeks ago I decided I wanted to make it an "Utsuri" variant of koi. (Japanese fire and ash). So added some black spots, yellow and reds into the orange.

All my tattoos are oriental, and all started off with black and grey. Now everything is colour haha. I have a dragon and lotus on the other arm.

Your works sounds like mine, all my work is in done in black and grey too, also stuck with oriental style...

Hoping to one day get a 2nd generation Horioshi by one of the masters using the traditional tebori technique, but know it will cost a lot of time and money to do so...

Also havent decided which artist to go with either, as need to get my Japanese friends to see who they can hook me up with...

yeah that would be really something hey. If you do you must document it.
Mine where done by Taiwanese and Filipino artists, but I know someone here whos uncle owns a studio in Tokyo. he also works using tebori. But it certainly doesn't come cheap. If you need I can get his details for you.

I think some black and grey between makes good for good contrast. Nice collection, bet you got some serious $ in that.

yeah.. she cries when I get a stick-oke on my feet, so a big one on the chest is gone make her mad.

My Dad always warned me never to get a tattoo after piercing my ears when i was a teen or he would disown me...

Then after having multiple tattoos done he one day finally saw a fresh piece i had done on my leg and actually changed his tune once he saw how clean and well done the tattoo was...

So basically what im getting at is dont cheap out on a tattoo and research the best artist for the job...

Coz this picture below says it all...

Although to be fair, a good artist is a close friend, then even cheap / free tattoos can be good but thats rarely the case lol....
