How many Koi can i put in my tank ?

I tried put 2 Butterfly Koi in my 120x42x36. And they seems happy stealing arowana food and eat poop, with only one of them get some scratches so I kinda love em.

But if I put in a load of Discus (should be around 20-50, tried 6 of them and they do pest job very well) and there are 4 SR Arowana (now approx 8-12" but they will have to be there whole life)


Or Koi is no good living in glass tank ?

Personally wouldn't mix them with Discus. The Koi are messy and prefer cooler water.

The only messy thing in the tank is the Alpha SR for now.

Koi often go car wash with the disc.

I can't tell if you're talking 120cmX42cmX36, which would be a fairly smallish tank, or 120"X42"X36" inches which would be a pretty big tank?

Will it suit for the fish when everyone is full grown.

Just under 800 gallons?

I wouldn’t add any koi just because they spook easily and can/will seriously hurt smaller fish. And discus are much smaller then koi. Koi get very bulky.

Yeah about 790 gal.

But it's not expensive jumbo size koi. Will it(decent grade butterfly koi) be that bulky? How long does it take for Koi to get 35"

2 kois maybe isn't enough mess for those discus to lay eggs. And sometimes one Koi will just lay there for discus Juv to clean his body.

The Barb did disturb them more so I already take them out.
