I re-started my salt tank to prevent disease and pests. I cured my rock and let my tank cycle. It is a 90 gallon. I use Hanna Checkers and API Master Reef testing kit and test everyday.
For the past week these were my readings. Salinity 31-32, Ammonia 0-0.25, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 25, Calcium 520, Phosphorus 11. Everything has been pretty much in a range that I think it's okay. I'd still like the ammonia to stay at 0 every day and nitrates to go down.
However, I don't know if my corals are placed properly. I never had a coral tank last which is why I re-started pest free. Please take a look at the pics of my 90 gallon and let me know if any of my corals would do better placed elsewhere.
There are 2 torches, a hammer, xenia (I forget which type but it's the kind that doesn't spread too rapidly!{not pulsing.}) A birdnest, duncan, montipora, some other encrusting corals that I forget the name of and a rock flower anemone. The birds nest is the one I need the most help with.
As for fish I have 2 clowns that were the first in this tank. I then added a hippo tang and just recently added fish number 4, a yellow headed sleeper goby. I have some snails and hermit crabs to keep the algae down.
