The Journey Begins..Oscars Growing Out

So it has been a few weeks too many since first post and have had a few set backs..
-Whilst away on holidays 1 of the heaters failed... temp dropped and caused a spell of white spot...
-Found the long fin oscar had jumped out of tank through the only gap in lids where auto feeder was set up when i was away. RIP
Soo white spot has since been treated and gone and wife bought a new oscar to replace lost long fin.. an albino tiger. So now 3 albino/whites and 3 black oscars.
Growth has only been only a few cm for each over the past few weeks.

Just come across this thread. An amazing start, beautiful fish, and set up.

But then your latest post just made me feel sad. This hobby will always throw a curve ball in somewhere. Let's hope it was just a one off blip. Good luck moving forward, and keep the updates coming. I look forward to seeing them all at 12" and how they colour up.

6 weeks progress pics..
Top pics are on first arrival, bottom are pics from today.

This one has definitely plumped up and grown a few cm and fins are alot longer but orange colouring seems to have faded a bit..

So sorry to hear about your longfin...I'll be watching this thread too! Must have names for the lil' buggers. Watch the thin tatty one turn out to be the biggest bruiser, lol.

Things sure can happen quick, though. You adding any greenery to your setup?
