A 6-8 inch fish would be alright in it. Ideally I like the 18 inches width tanks (give fish 2x length as turning space). I am not a fan of shortbody flowerhorns, many have issues but it depends on what OP likes.
Makes sense. I'll keep an eye out, some of these have beautiful markings.
I checked locally but most of the ones available to me seem to be the larger ones and the unmarked ones. I dont think I'd like to roll the dice in case it turns out to be one of the bigger ones or poor genetics.
