So my larger male syns did not like the cat checking him out...well the cat wasn’t even checking him out he was trying to smooze pats from me but the syns didn’t like how close the cat was to his tank lol

The syns threw on some war paint and Flared a bit at the cat and continued to swim over and check him out

Thank you!

Some days I do wish that cat would fall in the tank! (For anyone who thinks I’m serious, I’m. It. I have a very strong love hate relationship with my cat)

For anyone who is following this thread, I will be re-homing the smallest syns from the pack. I believe the smallest is a male (though I’m not entirely sure) as my large male almost always tries to dart at him to attack the smallest guy. Thankfully the smaller guy is more agile and can escape the attacks fairly easily.

The other two small syns also seem pretty intent on chasing the runt away.

The runt has been in very dark stress colors and is trying to hide from the tank. He still comes out to eat which is good but it will only be a matter of time before he stops eating if he’s continually stressed.

His new home will be with someone who grabbed my gold jack a few months ago :)

The size gap is slowly closing between my older sysns and younger ones.

I also ditched my java ferns today and replaced them with anubias

Not the best pics but they get the point across
