New 300g stocking help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im looking at removing the Salvini , replacing Freddy with a Loiselle and getting a piebald Sagittae. Also thinking about a Blackbelt because the Aregentea I have is just a plain white fish and doesnt show any black markings even with him being the dominate fish right now.

Thoughts?

Sounds good. Only issue is that loiselle are Freddies, same species (I only learned that a few months ago).

I will get the fish from cota. Thats where Freddy came from and he has them listed like this.

Parachromis Loiselle sp "Bocas del Toro/Robalo"

Parachromis Friedrichstahlii-Pantanos de Centla

Even if they are the same hopefully the new one wont be so special.

From what I know, it’s almost like catch locations, same species just different appearance.

Okay former P. loiselle are now P. friedrichstahlii...

Former P. friedrichstahlii are now P multifaciatus...

So they are still considered different species.

BUT, not all vendors have moved to the new scientific names.

Did another water change to make it easier to catch the salvini. Freddy didn't swim up the tube but he did play dead in a fake plant. He laid there and let me pet him.

New fish coming to the airport tonight. 1-lyonsi 1-sagittae 1- loiselle and 2-blackbelts.

Yeah, looks like a male loiselle.
All amazing looking cichlids!

Not much new here. Freddy the lyonsi and the salvini are in a 75. The lyonsi seems to be about equal to a severum in aggression and was a bad fit.

Pictures during water change. No cichlids harmed during this one.
