stop googling for the name than lol. im telling you you wont find it. these guys are really new to the hobby i really think only people who actually keep them will recognize the name and fish. really weird little guys
that was kinda unnecessary? Besides he found it for you in the end.

also why did you buy a fish without looking for info on it before getting it / not even knowing the name.

spending hours on google looking for different fish under the trade name “mudfish” with no avail can become very frustrating which ive done multiple times. im sorry if i came off as rude but i was just saying google doesnt bring up the fish im talking about. im pretty sure he mightve just known the name and not found it on google. the fish is also pretty uncommon in the hobby and not allot is known about them. even in the aquarium coop video they talk about this and that keeping them can take some experimentation. i already knew they were micro predators/grazers. i was already familiar with this aspect of the fish way before buying it. and do you know the latin names of all your fish? i was hoping by creating this thread id find someone else who keeps them so that i might be able to learn more. so what are you saying i needed to know before buying the fish that i didnt?

??? Wdym? Bowfin comes up? You were being rude to him and in the end he told you what it was.
yeah bowfin comes up along with everyother lungfish. bowfins are pretty far from what im asking about and i figured anyone who didn’t recognize what i was referring to probably was just unfamiliar with the fish.

Well many species have the common name mudfish. Some snakeheads and the aforementioned bowfin come to mind. It's more helpful to use the scientific name.

Many people know the latin names for their fish. I definitely do and I'm sure others on this site do as well. Latin names are a godsend.

im mainly just interested in what people use as a staple to feed these guys now.
