Yea it’s not far it’s next door to my room but it’s still a workout I add dechlorinator no matter what water I use and what do you mean by it can be emptied into the sink

The siphon can be attached to the sink (you would need an adapter) and doesn’t need to be run outside, but right down the drain.

My entire fishroom is on an on-demand water change system.
Each tank has a PVC overflow (or two) that runs to a central drain (and to my yard / garden). Water runs to each tank via an overhead drip irrigation system.

I have 3 125gal tanks. Each day I do a water change. Yesterday was Casper’s, today is the Carpinitis, tomorrow the Festae, rinse repeat. I use a Python water changer. It comes with a adapter that fits old style of faucets and new low flow as well.
Outside threads are old style, inside ones normally hidden by a gasket are new style.
Takes me five minutes of in tank cleaning and another five cleaning a filter, hour to drain, another to fill.
I personally only use the faucet to get the siphon going. I unscrew the hose from the faucet adapter and run the drain hose outside to feed my outdoor plants.
When using city water, dose entire water volume to include filters, sumps extra. Dump the declorinator in the area that the new faucet water is flowing into the tank.

How do you get the siphon going which a longer tube cause unless it can attach to a bathtub the closest sink is on the other side of the house maybe a 40 ft tube would be needed also beautiful fish is that a Midas cichlid?
Fill up the tube with tank water by submerging it, then point the opening of the tube straight up to the ceiling, lift it out of the water, and as it drains down, put it back into the water at a 45 degree angle up to the ceiling and submerge it so that it fills up with water. The siphon action should start. No you can face the tube towards the gravel. The other end that connects to the faucet during a fill up has to be lower than the gravel vacuum , like out the door to the garden
I only connect it to the sink for a fill up, never to start the siphon.
The Python has a valve on it. The down position is draining,
the up position is filling.
So to drain put the gravel vac in your tank.
Connect valve body to the faucet.
Now with the valve in the down, drain position turn on the cold water only ( save the warm water for refilling). The valve body on the faucet causes the siphon. When the water from your tank reaches the valve body you can turn the water off and let it just gravity siphon to save water.
To refill, first pour your declorinator where your vac is in your tank. Next change the valve on the Python body to refill, not temp match water going into your tank via the hot and cold on the faucet.
