Interesting, unique fish for 120 gallon?

if I were to do bichirs, which I think would be super cool, at what size could they go in that tank? could I put little ones in there and let them grow out?

Tbh I've always grew out my small 3 inch or smaller Bichir in a smaller aquarium prior to adding them to the 55 gallon or the 180 gallon.

gotcha, ok. If they were the only ones in there, would that still not be a great idea to put them in as smaller/babies?

I suggest floating plants live or plastic because young Bichir feel secure. Also if it's just the poly's they won't have to worry about being out competed by faster eating fish so you may be fine.

You don't have to keep plants in there after they grew to around 5 inches.

If not bichirs smaller wolves and spiny eels would be cool as well.
But I agree that bichirs would be a good option.
