So, in effect, the door acts as a "grading" device to prevent, errrr, let's say larger folks, from entering the cave and getting stuck, or trashing the rickety stairway?

Well,perhaps not as picturesque as Alcatraz or underground caverns but here is my equally spectacular photo bomb of the recent flooding our city has had to endure as a result of Hurricane Ida.
The city had gotten so much rain that one of the main highway corridors had totally flooded and was rendered impassable,unless by boat.

This is the Vine Street Expressway,normally a busy six lane thoroughfare flooded nearly up to the bottom surface of the overpass.

Quite a few vehicles were destroyed and lost in the flood.

That guy with the white top on at the side of the new "lake", from a distance, looks like he's holding a fishing rod and casting out!!!!

But when you zoom in you can see the "fishing rod" is actually the shadow of the street light to the left, lol. I was thinking WTF!

I think he is a police officer.His clothing looks like the uniform that the supervisors wear..

Well I am sad to tell you that I failed completely to find my photographs from Alcatraz. I eventually went through 10 different hard drives and numerous CDs looking for the photos.

Those were some of the first digital photographs I ever took, and with my first digital camera. This was about 2004, And it appears that every forum where I have posted those photographs is now gone. The Photobucket files are also unfortunately history.

There are two more boxes of old CDs that I should look through at this point, but I don’t believe I will find them there.
