Oh no LOL the clown knife was a feeder fish, long gone. Just removed another 2 serpae tetras as feeders, I’m slowly reducing the stocking as mentioned, wanting to add a centrepiece

I have reduced the stocking by at least 1/4. I will try to add in a small ropefish,if it doesn’t work out then another feeder I guess. I have asked other forums and they stated it could work, as tetras are fast enough. Thank god for cheaper fish prices here in Asia.
. Already started eating prawns 10 minutes after being added in. Already seems like a very personable fish!
So your overstocking your tank on purpose? and then when u dont like something u feed it to your arowana...

if u mean me. let me tell you why i dont agree with feeding fish out of a store.
First of all : rope fish are wildcaught as many predatory fish. So that means that they get taken out of the wilds. With transport atleast half or more of them die. Then some die in the shop aswell. And then you support that those fish are getting wild caught with the intention of probably feeding it if you dont like it.
Second of all if your feeding fish out of a store every now and then and keep buying fish without quarantaine your bound to catch diseases eventually.
Just buy goldfish then and keep them in quarantaine instead of wild caught fish and feed those
or read about what you buy and keep it with the intention of giving it a good home.
