Weeks (actually months) ago, I bought a custom tank from Dream Tanks online. 60 x 20 x 24, 125 gallons. It was delayed due to shortage of available acrylics and covid shipping delays. Delivery was yesterday. Size of the box looked ok, but I told the men it looked a little too shallow. Opened it up and got...

A set in sink with large countertop! ?

Keep in mind the box was printed up and marked as an aquarium. I got in touch with Derek of their shipping department who's conducting an investigation. The representative from customer service said this never happened before, it was strange and bizarre. They will be contacting Derek as well.

At first Derek laughed in disbelief but I told him I was glad he got a kick out of it considering what I paid. He apologized and said he didn't care about the sink but the priority was to find my tank. Personally I find it suspicious a box PRINTED AND LABELLED in big black type as an aquarium would have a sink inside.

They'd better find it.

Rod Serling pops out of a dark corner...

"A customer seeks a new acrylic aquarium. A mundane order becomes a dark mystery. One wonders how was a sink transposed with an aquarium? A sinister plot born of illusion is possible. It could be a dream, reality or nightmare. A simple online request twisted into bizarre circumstance. Can the aquarium be found? Questions and answers to this conundrum can only be found in the region known as...The Twilight Zone."

Tonight’s story on the Twilight Zone is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction…

My theory:
Someone at fedex wanted a large aquarium, and decided to swap it out.
But don’t be sad, now your fish room has everything including the kitchen sink!

Absolutely agree with this. Before Mother's Day ordered a gift for my wife but instead of what I ordered got a perfectly filled box with 8 boxes of Beet Chips for what I paid for the gift. People are finding ingenious ways to steal from others. The sink with countertop swap for a custom aquarium doesn't surprise me.

Agree, except it was freight (Fedex only up to 50 gallons).

In my mind the tank is stolen...someone put a similar sized item in a box to 'pass' and tried to send it to me. Ain't gonna work.

Agh!! I would want to kill someone. I know how long these tanks take to ship. It’s an amazing size of tank. My favorite. Have a very similar acrylic. Hope you’re successful getting this resolved.

Hope so too. I'm prepared to get ugly about it. I want either a credit with another tank, a full refund, or a free replacement.
