I committed the original sin for aquarium keepers. I was at a store this weekend and I purchased a coral without knowing what it was. Store is about an hour away and the staff didn’t seem to know much about the corals. I didn’t want to have to drive back so it came home with me. Can anyone id this without judging me? ?

Is that a hard coral? It looks kinda like one I had but I can't remember what it's called.

The spotted one is a coral croucher, the red one is a clown goby. Crouchers are larger and venomous, but over all same look.

I will say this guy just doesn’t care. Parks himself anywhere in the tank he feels like.

50lbs of Marco shelf rock coming with some other stackables, going to give it a go with the NSA scape hybrid and see how it goes. A little nervous about the undertaking but also the best part

I think one of the most satisfying aspects of the reef tank is seeing growth on the corals. This may be amplified due to the fact that I had extremely limited growth up until recently. I purchased a Duncan back in December and just noticed new heads developing.
