Hello
I was wondering if someone could please give me some advise, my gold severum has 2 large fuzzy spots on one of its fins, the skin on its face also looks different, like it is peeling slightly, I'm not sure how to treat it, could this be a fungus infection or white spot.
My tank is 300 litres ammonia is 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0 PH 7.4, I've had this severum for 2 years and have never seen this before. My tank contains 2 gold severum, 2 green severum, 1 Geophagus tapajos, 1 Bala shark, 4 angels, 3 Congo tetra, 2 torpedo sharks, 2 pictus cat fish, 2 clown loaches and 3 plecos, I regularly perform water changes every 2 - 3 weeks.
Can anybody please give me some advise, I have attached a few photos, hopefully you can see, it's hard to get a decent photo
Thank you in advance.

Natasha

Welcome to the forum!
Are you sure about the 0 nitrate? That’s extremely hard to achieve with a water change schedule far more rigorous than yours.
Has there been any fighting that could result in an injury (which could be infected).
Looks to me like you are seeing a fungal infection or lymphocytosis (a viral infection which has no cure but is generally harmless but acts as an indicator of a larger problem).

Welcome aboard
I agree about the zero Nitrate with a 2 to 3 week water changes. Tbh that is probably is a factor of what looks to me as a viral bacteria infection of the Severum.

Hi
Thanks for the quick response, the nitrates are Definately at 0, I rarely get a spike in the water conditions, I use API master test kit, picture attached, it has been a little bit aggressive with one of the other severums lately so it is possible it could have sustained an injury. You mentioned a lymphocytosis infection, is that with regards to this peeling face or the white balls on the fins, would you suggest I put any treatment in the tank, I'm really worried if I don't do anything it might die.

Lympho is not something that can be treated other than good food and water.
If fungal, there are a number of treatments that work depending on the infection (I’m not so good with fungal so I’ll wait for other IDs there).
