Can I pit these fish in a 29 gallon aquarium?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Look into honey gourami - less prone to dying of iridovirus.
Otherwise, I agree with everyone else that bigger schools is better.

Only 2-3 inches - same as a dwarf.
The golden gourami will get closer to 4-6 inches.

Is this the same 30G tank that has goldfish or is it a different tank?

The 30 gal tank is currently cycling. (Still waiting for the heater to be delivered)

Excuse the cloudy water, I just added the gravel.

Also, those are reflections of my goldfish (there are no fish in the tank yet)

Thanks for the suggestions and help! It's greatly appreciated! Im obviously going to start with a few fish at a time, but My stocking plan is to start with 3 platys and a gourami (either a honey or dwarf)

Then after a while I'll add a few Cory's, then a few more until I have about 6 or 7. Then about 8 or 10 neons, and 5 to 7 zebra danios. (Introducing them to the tank 3 or 4 at a time)

This is extremely embarrassing. But literally just learned about quarantine for fish.

And there are so many conflicting videos on YouTube, and I'm just really confused.

I know you guys have already helped me a ton. But what do I need to know about quarantining?

Do I need to do it with my new 30g setup?

Do I need to do it with the very first fish I get?

I do have an extra 10g but I do not have a filter. So how do I set up a quarantine tank?

How long do I need to do it, and what I'm I looking for?

And do I need to quarantine at all?

Also here is an update pic for the 30g setup:
