Your least favorite aquarium fish and why

Ain't that the truth!?

So many people are interested only if something is "rare". Amazing, beautiful and interesting fish...like Oscars...are ignored just because they are commonplace; their other qualities amount to nothing simply because everybody has them. Nope...gotta have something no one else has... :headshake

that's 100% not the case in my situation as well, they have just never been that interesting to me. my group of neon tetras are amazing to me, as are my geos and angels.

More power to you! If you like a common native fish I completely respect that...far more than people who only want something if nobody else has it...just because of its rarity.

One of my most prized specimens is my Stinkpot Musk Turtle...which is as common as, well...stink! :)

I also have a breeding group of plain ordinary Green Swordtails, and another of Heterandria livebearers, which will be among the very last fish I get rid of when I downsize further someday.

Keep what you like...not what other people think you should like. :)
100% I like rare fish, but not just because they are rare. Ever since I was a little kid Australian lungfish have been my favourite fish, and have always wanted one. I don’t understand people who just have fish because they are rare. I’d take a Saratoga over an Asian aro any day of the week.

Lake Malawi cichlids as a whole. God it’s like if you took the outline of a fish, copied it a couple hundred times, then gave them to children to color. Just the same body style but with different colors over and over again. It drives me mad. I do however like kenyi cichlids for some reason, the males specifically.

I think you might be referring to peacocks. Malawi haps have all different shapes, colors, sizes and behaviors . I can see this applying to mbuna tho, but I still love them

LOL you ain't met MY Oscar. 100% of never ending crazy.
My uncle's old coal grunter used to come up to get petted. and then there are sooty grunters which like to beat the crap out of anything that exists.

I don't like small various tetras due to the unpredictable biting of the fins of other fish and terrorizing the other tankmates...

You could very well be right as I haven’t put fourth the time and effort to figure out which ones I dislike… Nor do I plan to.
