Yeah 2 years in 2’ wide is fine. That’s what i’ve read. I’ve been looking for either a hystrix or scobina forever but can’t find any at all because of the ban in brazil. So you think this “teacup” ray could grow out in my 180 for about 2 years? I’m about 90% sure it’s a male as well. Thanks
I wish it was that simple, but I don’t want to shell out a pretty penny and turn around and have to deal with rehoming a large stingray.Buy first talk later... if wrong you can rehome if right you get what you want
Agree. Above advice is pretty brutal. You are doing it right.I wish it was that simple, but I don’t want to shell out a pretty penny and turn around and have to deal with rehoming a large stingray.
LFS did say it was eating, but I will make sure they show me before I buy. I will upgrade the tank size when necessary.Hard to tell species. Is this a wild caught ray? It is rather thin. Has it eaten anything while in the store?
Not having kept rays before, you should really think about this. Your biggest issue is going to be space. Sure, it will live fine in your 180 now but consider down the road.
I’m just worried with it being labeled as a teacup and not knowing the species.Hard to tell species. Is this a wild caught ray? It is rather thin. Has it eaten anything while in the store?
