Also, the price is $270, which is pretty good for my area, but the manager said he will give me 30% off (bringing the price under $200) if I waive the warranty. The warranty is full refund within 48 hours and 50% refund within a week. What do you think?
Can only speak for myself

At where I am, no such thing as fish warranty

I will buy if it's cheap enough.... Try 40% off lol

But be prepared for treatment or losing it...

I got some more pictures today. They said he’s eaten, but he didn’t when they tried frozen krill in front of me. He’s been there since Tuesday and is pretty active to me. My only concern is that he is a little skinny. If I can have somewhat of an ID and I see him eat, I think I’m going to pick him up saturday.

I suspect he is still not eating thus the offer of discount in return for no warranty

That’s what’s keeping me hesitant, either way i’m going to pay the full price and keep the warranty on for the peace of mind if he does end up eating.

The longer you hesitate the higher chance you may not save him

If he turns good, lfs will likely not offer the discount anymore

This ray looks even thinner than in your first pictures. You might want to take some small earth worms to the store and see it the ray will eat them. Cut the worms into really small pieces, not whole. I doubt the store is feeding it.
Does the store know if the ray is wild caught or captive bred? Based on size, condition (thin), and eye structure I'm guessing wild caught. Wild guess on species, perhaps humerosa species?
