  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice setup! I really like your canopy, did you make it yourself?

Hey did you ever get your tank drilled? If not what overflow do you have and have you had any issues. I have a 75 that I am going to be reeding out of and it isn't drilled. I just am trying tO weigh out my options.

No, I didn't drill it. It was full of water and was way to much work to attempt to drill it. I am using an Eshopps PF-300 overflow box. I have had zero issues with it. The only thing I have done is added a longer stand pipe on the drain to keep the water level higher in the box, which will in turn prevent the U-tube from ever breaking syphon. I wouldn't hesitate to run another Eshopps overflow box!

As an update, I was able to pick up a Rose Anemone, Nuclear Green Candy Cane, and a frag of Green Star Polyps for $40!!!

I added the anemone to the tank and had a surprise a couple hours after adding it.....it started splitting already!!!!!!!!

The middle stages of the spilt.

The following morning it was done! I had two RBTA's!

I have read that they can split when life is going well, or when they are stressed. I would imagine this was induced by stress. Hopefully "the twins" will settle into the tank and grow well now.

They are still roaming the tank a bit. Hopefully they will quickly find a spot that they will be happy and open up a bit more.

The Nuclear Green Candy Cane is probably one of the coolest corals I have owned. The camera can't even pick up the true color of this piece!

This is probably my favorite picture I have every taken. I took this shortly after lights out!

I will keep updating this thread as things progress!

Not yet. The last time I had a BTA it took my clowns a few weeks to notice it. But once they did they were never far from it. Until it met it's fate with one of my Koralia's.

I took a few pictures to update you on my Rose anemones! They are looking better and better every day since the split. They have been in my tank now for about ten days.

Here is my first casualty. My GBN (or the skeletal remains of). You can only see one tiny spot that still has any sort of PE. Sad day... I have been looking for anothe frag to replace it, but haven't seen any in months around here.

I love seeing feeder tentacles on my nuclear trumpet coral or whatever they call that thing...super cool.

Cool pics of the nems mid split as well
