that's exactly what I'm doing. placing the lives of one group over another. like I said, they need to be punished, that's not up for debate. but the severity of the punishment is what I disagreed with. I don't think they deserve "a few years" in jail. I can see one year depending on their criminal records. if they are both clean then I think any jail time isn't necessary.

but make no mistake, I put some animal lives over others. I strongly disagree with any who disagree, lol.



the only flaw I see is people putting all life forms on the same level

killing an ant is not the same as killing a fish, which is not the same as killing an elephant, which is not the same as killing a human

yup, that's how we get those idiots who tell us that it's cruel to feed feeder fish to large predatory fish

you have to see most people have different opinions about fish, and don't compare them dogs or cats, which i do not either even though fish are my favorite kind of animals. thus the sentence shouldn't be as harsh as crimes dogs and cats. opinions are opinions. the flaw in your statement is saying that roaches shouldn't be on the same ground as personable fish species, thus we can kill them. I could argue fish aren't as personable as elephants or dogs, so i could kill fish anytime i want. flaws are flaws, i have them too

I think these guys deserve jail time or a mental hospital would probably be better and some sort of counseling. People that hurt/kill animals just for fun will probably move to people one day.

none of us has facts to back it up but I strongly disagree that people who hurt animals "will probably" move to humans

I used to torture flies and bugs by pulling their wings or legs off. that doesn't mean I will one day smash several people's brains out with a hammer

in some cases, some future killers showed early signs that they are sick in the head by torturing animals. but that doesn't mean torturing animals is a sure sign of a future serial killer
