The sponge isnt but the tank is
Hello; OK, well whatever solid material that has been in the cycled tank will have colonies of beneficial bacteria (bb). It can be substrate, decorations, and such. Just take some of any solid material from the old tank and put it in the new tank.

On a different subject. The method you use in posting a problem is making giving decent suggestions difficult. More detailed information might help me understand better how to reply.

hello; Just as an example this suggestion that you can quick cycle a new tank with material from an established tank. You claim to have a cycled 10 gallon tank which has a sponge filter in it. You also claim the sponge filter is not cycled in that same tank. Usually any filter that has been in a tank for a few weeks will have some bb on the surfaces.
Even if the sponge is new and not yet seeded with bb there should be something in the tank that can be moved to the new tank setup so as to seed it with bb.

Hello; About your posts. They just lack information. Please note how much longer a response is compared to your post.

I am including a link to a good article about cycling. Please read it and after reading the link, then ask your questions.
