well hmm just keep on eye on him just keep up water changes daily i guess and add wat you took out back in with the medicine

Thanks for the advice! He is getting much better - eating blood worms and his eyes are clearing up. Will post pics later. Someone also referenced his hump head, it is going away, as he is putting on some weight. The prior owner must have been keeping him in extremely poor conditions...

Hey, you definitely have an EBJD. I think his color is soo washed out because of the white gravel. I had a few of my EBJD's in a tank with white gravel and they looked all washed out like that. I put them in my other tank and they all turned a nice blue color. Here is a pic of the fish in the white graveled tank and she looked a simliar washed out color as yours.

This is a better comparison actually although its a BG jack dempsey and not an EBJD....

Yeah, i thought there was something wrong with my BGJD because he was so pale. He never turned dark and looked so weird(that is a regular JD in the very first pic i posted). He was healthy the whole time though and the second i put him in that other tank he darkened up and breed with the EBJD in 3 days.

Can you guys tell the sex of my EBJD?

I really dont think its possible to sex EBJD's. The only way i can tell is by their breeding tubes.
