By the way, how much does LR cost? I don't know where the shop's is from but its at $3.5 USD per lb. Is it worth my money? I don't know if it's cured or not (because I can't tell) but the huge tub full of LR has like filefish zipping in and out of the cracks and even a FW guppy

I'm also changing my filters...Imma wash out my FW 10g's filter and put it on the SW 10g, so it's double. Then I'm going to get a frigging 40 gallon filter for my FW 10 gal...the idiot fish produce more poop than a full grown turtle. I constantly get a syringe, press it against the filter sponge and suck out some of the stuff in it, which declogs the filter and I can use the brown stuff to water my plants.

LR should cost somewhere between $4 and 12 US. around me it generally goes for $7-11 US most fo the quality if pretty good, but then again i only frequent the good stores

could you double up the filters on the FW and get the 40 for the SW?
you can just ring out the sponge in a bowl/bucket of tank water.. that way it gets a little cleaner and there's more water for the plants

I have two clarkii's (I think they are clarkii's) which are completing the cycle because the 3stripe jumped.
I forgot the offtopic question...
But I got 4 lbs (only 4) of LR for $3.5 a pound. The people said it was from Indonesia, only after I asked repeatedly.
Two minutes after submersion into my aquarium, a bristleworm came out. It didn't look dentrivorous to me because it had pincer jaws...it was 2" long. I put it in a breeder box but it escaped. Should I be worried about it?
I also saw a little mini crayfish like thing that was only 0.5 cm long, and was pale all over.
I have some huge-like things on my LR. They are flexible and are red near the base and white near the top. They have a stem attaching them to the LR, and they branch out. All of these branches are tubes...my snails and hermits are crawling all over the rock eating stuff. Should I let them, or should i separate them because I actually want hitchhikers...

that might make up the .3 difference.. what were the nitrites? if it's a 2 reangent test i always go in order, dont know if it REALLY makes a difference, but, better safe than sorry..

did you mean the valentini toby and the valentini mimic filefish?
either would be too big for a 10 gallon, as would a dwarf angel...
if you see the worm again try an nab him, the ones with the big azz jaws can be predatious on smaller fish
