I know that the stand is overkill for just a 110, but you soon find out that it is just as cheap if not cheaper to use 2x4s to build. So you figure, why not make it extra solid so you never have to worry about it.

Quick question, I am building a double 55 stand. Will I need a support in the middle going to the floor? Or can I build it without the center support? The four corners only and of course a box support.
