beautiful man!! i want to build a tank, but im gonna build a bigger Open bottom tank, but dont think id have the balls to build a rimless tank.

build a small one first ... then go all out and build yourself a monster =) it's not that bad at all ... those silicons are RIDICULOUS !!! You should only worry if the tank is really tall or if it's really long ... other than that come on - rimless tanks are so much more neater aren't they ! ? =]

oh no, god forbid ! =] That DIRTY piece of glass is just there to 1 stop the evaporation a bit, 2 to keep the driftwood from floating and 3 to keep the hose which I use to fill the tank up in place =)

Thanks for the compliments about the stand, it was a long way ... still not done but one step at the time, I try to keep it as low budget as possible therefore it's taking me forever ... from collecting the free glass on craigslist, welding the stand's frame at work to getting this super heavy and adequately expensive haha deck wood from friend's work place - BUT once the school is over I will be all over this thing !

Just a quick question..What silicone did you use for the tank? What brand? Because i am re-sealing a 110 gallon right now and i am using GE silicone II black (not the one with BIO-SEAL, its safe). Anyways i got the silicone to look perfect, masking tape did the job and my finger 8). Just a little curious to see which type you used. By the way that tank looks SeXy! lol. It really is coming along great man, as i said before, i can't wait to see it done.

While some were at Time Square ... I didn't feel well enough to come out but I felt ok to finish up my project
