-Last question and I'll stop taking over the thread with Dwarf Puffer questions-

Would a fluval edge 12 gal work for the Puffers? I hope to keep everything stock on the tank, because the lighting upgrades for that tank cost as much as the tank itself. Finding a new filter would also be hard since it would have to fit the compartment.

Size wise I think you'd be fine, filter would also be fine; just keep on top of your water changes and you'll be fine :) will look forward to updates on your project, will you create a thread?

I may depending on how the scape turns out.

From what I've seen it uses an Aquaclear 20.

The tank is closed off at the top except for an opening for the filter and lights.

Scaping is expensive for me. Lucky adults and their pro finish tanks

well...the tank above cost me £20 (25 us dollars), the rocks and wood were cheap stuff i came across at the lfs. Filter and light are cheap ebay buys, the only real cost is the soil, which even then you only need a small amount say 1.5 litres of in a tank this size...

the hobby is as expensive as you make it, there are always shortcuts and bargains out there if you are patient; plus bigger isn't always better :)
