Man, you get me thinking about getting one of those small Fluval and taking a stab at this aquascape...I like the looks. I failed with plants after a year in my "big" tank, but I think having a small one would be more manageable for plants...could throw in a few little fishes my kids like (that wouldn't survive with the Lei...LOL).
Is the tank on the right Starphire glass? Aside from being thicker it doesn't have the green tint the higher iron oxide glass has.
Not sure of starphire, but I bought as optiwhite I.e. low iron content, so it's probably the same.
I think the thing about nano's, is yeah most of us love the huge tanks; but sometimes it's nice to have absolute control over a tank (massive tanks sometimes don't give you that feeling lol), and the opportunity to be creative without Oscars ripping out plants, or catfish eating inhabitants etc. Just another branch of the hobby
