Also, regardless of what you can buy a baby silver arowana for in your area you are forgetting that these fish are a bit different than say other animals, or even commodities, as they rarely more valuable when you have more of them. In your example your fish is getting to big for your tank, which happens a lot, so there is a surplus of sellers in your position.

Now if it was a stingray, or rarer fish, then you might be in luck as they usually appreciate in value.

+1^^^^ This is true, people give away adult arrows by me, lol the babies are worth more.

Grow it a couple more inches and then have a fish fry.

I will have a bigger tank by now but I'm renting and their is no space for a bigger tank

Renting?... Your sig says your 14?...

It doesn't really matter how much they sell for NY when your trying to move a silver aro for 600$. You can pay the s/h from many reputable vendors and get one shipped to you in NY for a 3rd/5th of that price. What a silly thread.

never the less, GLWS.

IDK What to do
My dad is expecting a high price and a lot of his friends thinks it worth like $700
I try to explain

Also I told him that this fish cannot live in this small tank and he told me that slfishes adapt to their environment

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

You should tell his friend you'll give him a deal and sell it to him for 300. But seriously you should try to explain its not worth it, then ask him if he'd like to live in a gym locker as he would adapt o it eventually...

Couldn't have said it better. I laughed at my Lfs when he wanted 250 for a 28"er

Try Ebay at a starting bid of $599........You never know.....Good luck.
