140 Gallon Indoor Turtle Pond Build

That'd be great but you need to buy a pump with it.

As far as heaters go, use whatever you like, just make sure it has a guard around it that allows for decent water flow. Like a piece of PVC pipe at least 1 inch larger than the diameter of the heater with lots and lots big holes drilled in it (like half inch holes spaced 1/4" or less apart.)

You could get one with a controller and a titanium element, but you'll still need a way to guard it because your turtles could burn themselves bad on one of those.

The T12 bulb covers from HD or Lowes make really great heater covers. They're thin plastic, clear (so you can see indicator lights), easily cut to length, and cheap.

Here is a picture of my set up in a 75 gal. and a picture of her basking.
Tank is about 75* and basking area is 85*-95*

In the near future i plan on getting a 125ish gallon with a FX5 and inline heater. She hasn't broken this one but she messes with it a lot. I'm about to switch the lines on my fluval 404 over to PVC cause she messes with the lines a lot so hopefully the PVC will be harder to move.
