  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
try one like the first one in the thread ''post your bucket filters'' nothing to doing it a bucket with holes on the bottom/side , then scrubbies/bioballs then a drip plate made of a bucket bottom with holes and a piece offilter pad as a prefilter

You could try one of the no-name canisters on ebay. I just bought a Jebao one rated for 350gph. Its basically an eheim 2080 knockoff, or something like that. I think it could easily filter a 140g tub by itself, and its only $89.99, with free shipping.

I've had mine for a month, and I like it so far. its the quietest filter in the house, is large (9"x9"x14") so plenty of media, and has a good flow rate. Its also very easy to set up, and super easy to prime. When I unplugged it from one tank to move it to another, I didn't let the water drain out of the hoses, so when I plugged it back in, it didn't need to be primed, it just started right up again.

ok so its between the jebao and my own filter. remember if this thing is going to be filled up 9 inches thats around 55 gallons,10 inches i think was around 65 gallons. ill get the dimensions inside to make sure.if i were to do my own filter, would any of these work?

Fill it up to 3" below the top. If your basking area is on a side, build up a wall next to it.
If you're DIYing, I would think this pump would do pretty well:

780gph at 0' using 40 watts.
