well im still looking for uvb.its so god damned expensive.so for now im just gonna have to heat lamps with uva and feed them food with d3 in it. just filled it up and ive got an ac 70 and some goldfish in there to start somewhat of a cycle so it doesnt just sit there.

for uv go with a mercury vapour bulb, its uv and a heat lamp in one, it also lasts longer and has a better output then tube lights

They cost more but it might balance out. Any UVB florecent bulb needs to be changed once a year. Also If you get a regular heat/light bulb they break alot which is why i have a ceramic heat emmiter which cost more but has a 5 year warrenty, but needs a porcline holder instead of the regular ceramic kind.

well theyre all moved in.they love it. still want to do some decorating.i bought two live plants to put in there and within ten minutes they were eaten lol...ill get some pix up tomorrow

lol yeah anything that enters the tank is possible food. I just build PVC libes for my canister filter that i painted black and my turtle has been bitting it... hopefully the spray paint on it won't hurt her.
