You need to figure a way to add more scrubbies or bio balls and have a drip plate so it goes over everything insead of the scrubbies just floating in water, this is defeating the purpose.

nice setup you have there i beleave you filter wont work as good because the scrubies are under water so it doesnt work like a wet dry, you have to have a drip plate so the water goes over all the scrubies and drips down, or somthing like that i think but correct me if im wrong. but you have a really nice setup what kind of rays are you going with.

I can't wait to have a basement w/a sump pump ejector pit right in the fish room. Makes for easy WC and a RO unit that can have a overflow if needed. Nice setup....now post some pics. of the fish.

what do u mean by drill big holes what happen????

yes i no the scrubies r floating on top but i fixed it mostley now and i do know i need a drip plate i just didnt fix it completly bc i had THE BIGGEST problem with my pump

just go but about 50 lbs of lava rock and about 20l of seachem matrix and leave it all submerged

i though lava rock actully doesnt do that much but that will be a WHOLE lot easier so might just do that

i use all submerged media on all my sumps now........ seachems matrixs is very nice and cheap.... i will be adding lava rock to my set ups in the next few months...
