150 gallon wild discus project

I have a small group of sveni in there and the supplier of these discus said to quarantine them regardless letting the quarantine tank cycle a few times even though I have fully cycled sponges and until they start eating consistently. He said it’s best to quarantine these fish always before adding to the main tank. I was a little confused on why too but I know he knows what he’s talking about with these fish so will just listen to his advice.
False alarm the the supplier misunderstood me and says I won’t need to quarantine them if there is no other fish in there. I was a little confused about that but all good now
Have you had personal experience with this vendor? Seen their product?

The problem with this link in establishing the quality of this vendor's discus is that, out of 6 pages of commentary, only one person has actually had first hand experience with this vendor.
The quality of his product and the ethics of his business practices are two different things.
I wouldn't buy from him because his alleged business practices are suspect. This would be enough to keep me away-and I have.
However, as far as the quality of the product he delivers to his customers, one example of an unhappy customer does not establish that.
I have to wonder, for how long this controversy of stolen images has been going on, why haven't those affected taken legal action. A cease and desist letter from a lawyer would be enough to stop the usu age of these photos until a legal action could prove that this company is, indeed, using unethical and illegal practices in his online business.

Strange. I have heard nothing but great things about this vendor. He has been amazing to work with as well and seems to really know his stuff. He has some very rare wilds as well that is very hard to find other places. Hopefully all goes well since I’m paying a lot of money for these fish but I’ve been talking to him every day throughout the day for almost a week now and he’s been an amazing guy to work with.
Yeah, I dont know... I have been looking for wilds to order for quite awhile...- and after the controversy with this company that I had read about on Simply Discus I decided it would be better just to not go there. But, I was still curious about the quality of the fish that they had.
So the vendor did say these were Watley's discus? Well, I had heard he was trying to pass discus off that came from other vendors as his own, this goes to show he was honest with you regarding the source.
It also sounds like his customer service has been exceptional. Another example that doesn't quite jive with what I had read in that thread.
I will be very interested in seeing how these discus look, their health, their quality equitable to what you paid for, etc...
