155 Or 180 For Tank Size

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also, I was looking at tanks made by dfwaqarium.com, but was wondering, what I the black thing in the middle? Are these tanks just for saltwater, and does it take up space or not really?

I have some bad news. I’m sadly not allowed to go wide than 18”, but if I get a 7 footer. However, I still should be able to get the 84x18x24 155 or the 72x24x24 180. If you had to pick, which one would be better? (Especially For A Potentially 16” Fish)
Definitely go for the 72x24x24 Bigger footprint, bigger volume.

If I used canister filters instead, would the tank work or would you have to use the sump. Also, as I mentioned I’m not allowed to go 7 by 2, I can either get the 72x24 or the 96x18. Which one do you think would be better for a community tank?

If I were running a tank that size off of Canisters instead of a Sump I would use 2 large canister filters (like the Fx6). I don't have a sump on my 125g but I run an Fx6 and a Tidal 110 on it.
