hmmm thats not a bad idea, hopefully the vinyl doesn't leech anythign into the water.

might i ask where you bought the rolls from. and i was lookign for a cheap alternative to sealing an aquarium besides liquid rubber or epoxy. i guess with a fiberglass undercoating this idea would stand up to anything

I agree the vynil is innovative but fiberglass is expensive. May as well just go with something Proven like liquid rubber. Or if u have the money pond armor is amazing

why dont you weld the vinyl like they do on floors? personally i would have put in two layers of vinyl an welded the surfaces together. It would last forever
