Mine are on a diet of kens veggie flakes, romain, cucmber, and peas. They also getkens tropical flakes.

Good diet, try adding romaine lettuce they love it(just stick the whole leaf to the glass with a suction cup)I would get a group of aureus.

Jump away its a forum not a private party..... from all of my experiance in keeping fish I have seen that trying stuff is one of the best ways to learn. That is before I found online forums now advice can be handed out on what one persons experiances have been with many situations, this leads some people to belive that something is not possible. When in reality there are so many posiblities. Its all based on a fish by fish bases. If one of anyone of those three is extreamly aggresive then the other two fish will suffer. If they are all on an equal plane or understand and get the idea of pecking order it could also work. With some fish this is simply not an option if you have two or all three think they are the alpha there will be fighting and constant harassment. As far as space goes in a 150... hard to say for me that's a close one. I have kept together some pretty big fish in tanks around that size and fish with way more of a reputation for being vicious killers... but in these instances the fish all grew up together and there were boundry lines and each fish knew where they were.... "disaster is bound to hit anytime you put 2 aggresive or even semi aggresive fish together" that's in "" not because its fact or that anyone else said it but because its my mind set when setting up an aquarium. This way you are prepared for most all negitive situations that might and probably will occure. I have 6 tanks, 3 are 6' long and there is still no way to know what is going to work only what might work and what I haven't tried yet... I hope that isent more confusing then it is helpfull. I would probably lean to saying no. And this is just my opinion. The reason for my opinion is the max size of these fish if they are males. A full grown pearsei can be 17 inches long. The foot print of a 150 is only 18 inches from front to back. This allows only one inch of room to turn around and with a forward motion it would not be possible without the fish bending its body. So with proper filtration and heavy water changes coupled with fish that for whatever reason get along well, could it work? Absolutly. Should it be allowed to work? That's up to you. But in my opinion a fish reaching anything more then 15 inches should have a minimum of a 24 inch deep tank. Once again its all up to you and these are only my opinions.. I hope I was some what helpfull.

Romaine is part of there diet... I just dident add the e at the end. And yes they do love it, I don't even stick it to the glass I just throw in the whole leaf it never lasts longer then a few minutes and then the stalk falls to the substrate and is quikly consumed by my L200. There are 5 pearsei in the tank now so a single leaf dosent last long. So on days when the do not get any prepared foods they get 2 or 3 leafs and some peas or cucumber.

A group af aureus???? Nice I dident even think about that... would be pretty cool like 5 or 6 or more like 3 or 4???? Man that would be an aswesome tank.

I would go with 5 or 6. I have a group of 6 t. passiones and they are the most entertaining to watch(my daughter calls them a street gang)they just wait around for something to get into and cause trouble then run for the hills. Never cause any damage but funny as hell to watch.

I have kept bocourti, oscars, and pearsi all in the same tank, although a 125 would get small fast.
So maybe I should drop the pearsi (the oscar is a rescue... cannot bring myself to drop him)? I originally was going to try an oscar, a bocourti and a JD. But then I saw a pearsi, and love that fish almost as much as the bocourti.

Or maybe I should just keep it at the oscar and the bocourti then?

I was also hoping to get maybe 1 catfish of some kind, and a few dither of something (have not decided what kind yet).

There's a picture of my largest pearsei 9 months and 3 days ago. More recent to come in a few minutes and the more recent will be with a better phone so the quality will be a little better... sorry I'm not a photographer, would love to get into it but the cost of fish supplys for all my tanks and my electric bill keep me financially straped.

And this is right now... first full tank its a 110 gallon 72x13x26 I think. Just a grow out for some of my big guys there are a few perm residents like the raibow cichlid, and the cutteri and the L200, next pis is the three biggest kind of a cool shot of them, and the other two speak for them selves. Sorry for the bad quality like I said I'm not a photographer...

looking good they are at the size when they should start coloring up really well.
