180 Gallon Start-Up Thread

Gotta do whatcha gotta do right?
My light should be here tomorrow. Tank is finally starting to clear up, would help if my damn fish would eat the food I give them. Never had a picky cichlid before.

Some minor things
Needed something to hold down my lids in case the eel gets adverturous. Bricks are cheap. Didn't want them to scrape the glass lid, so...duct ape to the rescue...
2 per lid so 6 total
Also added magnets to my stand doors to keep them close. Need one more for the canopy on the next trip to walmart...

There isn't much to do construction wise... i will start posting fish pictures once my water clears up some more. Still a bit cloudy.

This is going to look soooo good. I'm considering changing out my gravel to black sand or something like it. You're thread will be good for me to watch because I painted my tank black and have a black stand. The fish are colorful in my tank, too. So I'm sure I'll be able to make a decision one way or the other soon because of this thread! Looking good!!!
