1800 gallon build and my new 180

Ok. I need help. Every problem I've had so far with this build has been the freakin stock tanks. I was going to connect two of them together using a 2 inch PVC pipe with uniseals. Well I can't get the two inch pipes into the uniseals if my life depended on it. So. In trying to do so I have damaged one of the stock tanks to where I don't think I can fix it. That puts me back to one stock tank but I still can't fit the pipe through the uniseal. With that being said I don't want to use a bulkhead bc that's another pain in the ass. So. Here's what I'm considering. Cut my losses. I hate the stock tanks anyway and build my own sump using plywood and epoxy. I'm already running behind on this thing as it is but I want to do it right. If I build my own sump I can make it the exact dimensions I want and expand the biological section as well. Any thoughts or ideas ????

I agree with building your own plywood tank.

Just a thought and in no way being a critic; I think your idea is great although you may want to modify it. I've heard it numerous times before that if you're going to have a shark tank; you don't want corners. The reason many shark tanks are built circular or with bull ends is because the sharks keep banging their snouts which causes them to hemorrhage.

If I were keeping an orv shark ( one that has to swim constantly to survive) then yes, I would do rounded on the ends. But a white tip doesn't have to constantly swim

also this tank is a lot smaller than i wanted to do , if i had the room i would have gone 3xs as big . in 3-4 yrs when i move into a bigger house i will be building a much bigger tank to support a full grown whitetip

Wow , i would say sweet tank , but since its just a wooden tank with a stand and no water , i cant,, jk lol very cool build cant wait to see the shark , good luck , Subscribed.
