Texas are Central America, oscars are South American there generally alot less aggressive than texas.
Ah okay! So what would be some other good central americans cichlids? And how many could i do?

Each of your faves that you want to combine is a top predator in its locale .
You'll have a much more peaceful tank if you allow one to dominate and use dither fish and bottom fish around it.
For example, create a home for the green terror. And then maybe get 2-3 more bichirs and a large school of dither fish. Let your green terror or whatever be the main centrepiece.

Okay, so what could I do? I already have the texas and I wanted to do more cichlids with him, the only dither fish i would do is Silver Dollars. As for bottom dwellers could I do Black Ghost knife, Senegalus bichirs and fire eel?
So I cant just do 3-4 larger cichlids then bottom dwellers?
I'm not new to fish keeping im just new to monster fish because i never had a large enough tank.
You can certainly try. I mean, im not saying you cant try, just saying your tank MAY be more peaceful in my opinion if you take another route.
If i were you, a black ghost, a couple senegalus or a senegalus, delhezi, palmas polypterus, the green terror and maybe a small shoal of silver dollars. Sounds pretty sick to me.
