I would go with an Ornatus vs the Pictus. The Pictus are a smaller catfish and could be easily eaten by an adult Texas. The Ornatus is bigger and would be less of a risk.

You have to remember that if it can fit in a Cichlids mouth, they will try and eat it.

Catfish have barbs in thier fins that could kill your Texas if it tries to eat them.
Same with the Rainbows. If it can fit it will try to eat it at some point.
Hmm okay, do firemouth cichlids have to be in groups? Could i just do a single one or pair?

1 Texas
1 Oscar
1-2 Firemouth Cichlids
1 Salvini
6-8 Congo Tetras
5-6 Bichirs

Texas is CA, Oscar is SA. If you wanted to try them 2 I would drop the Firemouths and the Salvini.

And that his still hit or miss. You could get two that will get along. Or you could get one that kills everything in sight.

Hmm okay what about

1 Texas Cichlid
1 Female Jack Dempsey
1 Firemouth Cichlid
1 Convict Cichlid

4-6 Bichirs

That looks a lot better, tho you will need to be ready with a backup tank or a way to rehome the weak link.

Each cichlid has it's own personality. What worked in one tank may not in another.

My Oscar Toni hates other Oscar's. Has rejected 5 so far killing one R.I.P. Juan. Has lived fine with a Green Terror and a Red Terror.

Try if you can get them all as small juvenile fish and let them grow up together. Typically works better when building commuity cichlid tanks.

I have not kept those. So don't know how they are with the listed cichlids. Or how they are bioload wise.

But still with five medium to large cichlids get ready for steady water changes.

In my experience with jack dempseys my female beat up a red jewel (was a short time mix up), ate 2 kuhli loaches (i know now i should have had 6+) and tried to eat my BGK so i moved him, so now I'm awaiting till Saturday to pick up a slightly smaller male.

And the 2 others I've met run the tank they are in it is a breeding pair and they beat convicts, jewels, bgk, bnp like my experience is they are a pain, but I've heard about people with jacks that cry in the corner to a convicts.
