i guess i shouldnt follow petsmart color coding of fish then, which i should have assumed was wrong in the first place judging from their lack of knowledge most of the time. i hope i didnt disappoint you with asking all these questions and not actually having that tank. im just preparing it so i dont have to worry about it later. otherwise the thoughts of stocking the tank would nag away in my brain as im trying to sleep. im going to a real lfs on thursday and ill ask them about the mbuna an see what they have. they are usually very knowledgeable about their stuff there. thank you for the advice.

ah lol. yeah this tank is way off in the distance. but i figured that 180 gallons is big enough to keep the fish i want. so im doin several other 180 gallon tanks as well, and i feel like that will cure all my fish wants lol. if i dont have my stocking figured out it drives me nuts, makes it hard to sleep at night lol.

Watch the Chipoke they can be very aggressive. I have a all male mbuna tank and they do well. You need to reseach them and set your tank up with plenty of cover. Mbuna means rock dwellers. Place lots of rocks in the tank that make caves.

Here's a pic of my 55 gal all male Mbuna tank..
