I WOULD SPEND THE WHOLE 2 GRAND at glasscages get the biggest best aquarium u could with 2 g's and i guess u got to count on at least several hundred for shipping but hell 1500 u could get a huge 1.Just getting posesion of the tank is the best thing u can do then start saving agin and do a diy stand then a diy wet dry sump and 1 more month of savings and u will be ready to stock it thats how i would do it.

The shipping is 1050.00.....I am thinking of "lightening" the load a little though. And D.Y.I. ing a stand and sump from a tank I already have!

$3000 bucks huh?

I live in WA and saw a 600 gallon acrylic tank on Craigslist once for $1800.

What ever you do. Go as HUGE as you can. $3000 can take you a long way if you spend it right.

Good luck. I'll have to come see your tank when I'm east of the mountains.

I wish we had the stuff so.cal guys and east coast guys have available to them! We get the prettiest state and they get all the deals:screwy: I will FOR SURE grab anything in this state thats huge. That tank on a trailor seems tempting.... And you can stop by any time, are you over this way often?

I'm not over there as often as i used to be. i have some great friends in wallyland though.

I've seen other great deals for large tanks in our area. I'll keep my eyes open. i got a 150 gallon with stand and filter/heater for $350 and sold my 90 gallon for 300 so essentially got a 150 for $50.

Good luck with it.

if you buy new, you can get a great set up, but probably not more than a 150.

here in canada, you can get a decent brand new 180 complete setup with decent lights and a canistor or two for about 2K, but not much more.

second hand, well, the sky is the limit:)

I will be checking craigslist in my area like a general....
