I'm sorry to hear about the swordtails. Not much you can do now,just learn from your mistakes.The best thing you can do is keep trying,but do it right the next time.So basically cure your tank,halt any future plans,get the male swordtail,and then see how everything looks.
And dbz:I'm pretty sure your a nice guy, and I see why gar mans inexperience could be discouraging,because at one point I did too.However,we all went through the same problems,and we may look back on it now and think it shows inexperience,but the kids trying,so lets avoid discouraging him unless he makes a big,avoidable mistake.
