i'm sure that with only one 'tetra' it was finegroovitudedude;1343044; said:LOL I used to have a 55G, and my Lil bro has a 20 G. He has 2 corys, 1 tetra, 2 kuhli loaches, 3 guppies, 4 mollies, 4 penguins, 3 zebra danios, 2 Glass Ghost Catfish, 1 Flying Fox, and 1 miniature gourami. They do fine, and they are an almost perfect tropical community set-up. If he's a violent little kid, though, you could just try getting some cichlids that would kill each otherJK
. don't people realize that they are schooling fish when they see them swimming together in the store?
What species needlefish? If you are talking about the most commonly sold one (Xentodon cancilla) then no, it will not work for very long. First they do best in a lightly salted tank or they tend to get infections, second they are very predatory and need food such as small fish or live insects, and third, if kept correctly they can reach up to 16" long in a couple years. Even when small they are a flighty fish that startle easily and often damages their beaks on the glass in smaller tanks. To keep safely you need a well covered tank that is at least 3 times as wide as they are long.
